The date on which you were born determines what your astrological sign, which falls under one of twelve divisions of the zodiac where the different sections represent the various positions of the sun, moon, and planets.  Horoscopes can be fun to read on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, providing insight on health, love, and career.  Each astrological sign has unique personality traits, which can be read below.

Aquarius

An Aquarius is born between January 21st and February 18th.  Strong willed and opinionated, they never fail to let others know how they feel as an Aquarius is typically outspoken.  Possessing a quick mind and tongue, Aquarians value their intelligence and independence.  Those who are close to Aquarians will say they are the best listeners.  While Aquarians strongly value their closest friends, they can be detached from others with whom they are not particularly close. 

Pisces

Pisces are generally very reserved in that they are shy and prefer to keep to themselves.  Born between February 19th and March 20th, they are characterized as thoughtful, sensitive, and selfless.  Also, they are very observant of their surroundings and are receptive of others’ feelings.  Ultimately preferring a romantic setting above all else, Pisces are idealists.  Led by belief and dreams, they are easily misled and are weak-willed.

Aries

Arians, or those whose birthday falls between the 21st of March and the 20th of April, are full of energy and possess leadership traits.  While they are dynamic, their impulsive behavior may lead to rather large mistakes.  Arians tend to be designers, lawyers, politicians, actors, and other jobs that allow them to take control of their life or lead others.  Due to their dynamic nature, Arians also love sports and direct their large amounts of energy to physical activity and chivalrous actions.  Similarly, their dynamic nature doesn’t exactly help out in making them orderly. 

Taurus

Born between the 21st of April and the 21st of May, Taureans represent both beauty and strength. Their qualities include patience, practical intelligence, resistance and quietness and they use these qualities to obtain security and to meet both psychological and material needs. While they may be placid at times, they hate change.  However, they are very steady, making them very good in business and practically anything to do with money.  Taureans become violent when they are angry, although it is rare.

Gemini

Gemini are very active beings, both mentally and physically, thus they appear younger than they actually are.  Born between May 22nd and June 21st, they make excellent conversationalists and are the most entertaining.  However, they are easily bored and cannot focus on one thing for too long.  Because of they are constantly changing minds, Gemini are known to be unreliable.  Furthermore, they are predisposed to manipulate others for their own agenda.

Cancer

People born under Cancer, between June 22 and July 22, enjoy hobbies, parties, and romance. However, they do not like failure or opposition or being told what to do. Usually, they are full of dreaminess, emotion, and intuition. They also seem to have a certain air of spirituality about them. Cancerians are also very sensitive and compassionate, possessing excellent memory retention skills. They can be both tough and loving in a relationship.  However, if someone makes a mistake, they don’t forget it. Due to their emotional nature, they make both the best and worst of friends.

Leo

Leos are born between July 23rd and August 23rd and are typically the leader of the pack.  An archetypal Leo is outgoing, confident, intelligent, and can be quite bold at times.  Though Leos are extremely generous, honest and loyal, they can be short tempered, stubborn and brutally honest.  Leos can also be too trusting while being bad judges of character and tend to see close friends as perfect and unable to do wrong.  Thus, they are usually disappointed because of their high expectations.

Virgo

Structure and order are very important to Virgos, as they are perfectionists.  Born between August 24th and September 23rd, Virgos are often modest and polite, as well as reliable and analytical.  Because they are very observant of details, they may end up forgetting the big picture of a situation.  Their calm, analytical nature is often mistaken by others as cold and critical to others.  Virgos are most typically pessimistic and are always worried.

Libra

Born between September 24th and October 23rd, Libras are born diplomats in that they are very opinionated as to what is right and wrong.  Often times they are charming, sociable and easy going, and are considered the most civilized of the twelve signs.  Conflict renders Librans feeling insecure due to lack of balance and harmony, as the scale or balance is the sign of a Libra.  Likewise, Librans are not easily angered.

Scorpio

Scorpios are born between October 24th and November 22nd, are characterized by intense drive, concentration and self criticism which can result in either success or complete failure.  They are very suspicious, jealous and secretive beings whose temper can be easily provoked.  Because of Scorpios’ strong passion, they will excel in any career they pursue.  Their deep sensitivity makes Scorpios either the best, most trustworthy friend or the most treacherous enemy. 

Sagittarius
   
A Sagittarian is one whose birthday falls between the 23rd of November and the 21st of December.  Typically the happiest of all astrological signs, Sagittarians are optimistic, enthusiastic and have a good sense of humor.  They are generous, honest and trustworthy as well.  When placed in a bad situation however, a Sagittarius is impatient and can be quick to dismiss responsibility because they lack a sense of reality. 

Capricorn

One whose birthday falls between the 22nd of December and the 20th of January is Capricorn. Generally, Capricorns are very organized and prefer order as they respect authority.  They are inclined to be materialistic rather than philosophical.  Work oriented and conservative, Capricorns, once at ease with someone, will be a loyal friend.
